How Do We Break Negative Thoughts

Trust Awair Breath

How often in your daily life do you allow positivity to be your focus?

If you feel negative thoughts in the form of scepticism, talking badly or always being the victim you will not be able to easily connect to your inner wisdom, which then opens up your inner world of trust. Trust will be at the forefront of allowing your inner self to guide you.

Why is this blocking my connection? Because the frequency we are putting out is the frequency we attract. When you are choosing negativity you are pushing away the positive thoughts, which ultimately will be what you attract towards you.

It’s likely a pattern or learned behaviour from your younger self, taught to you by another person or prominent figure or group. You’ve been ‘conditioned’ to think in a certain way which keeps you stuck in a hamster wheel of negativity. Sound familiar?

Breaking this pattern is the key to movement. It’s like an old stripped screw that needs to come out in order to replace the part. When we start to enquire within the self we notice the screw. The first step is becoming aware.

Today, ask yourself is there an area in my life in which I know I react with thoughts of negativity? Pick one. Write it down, that simple act is the start of your breaking the pattern.

Deepen this relationship with your self-enquiry by journalling further. Perhaps ask yourself some of these questions:

Why do I have negative thoughts on this subject or about this person?

Is this thought of service to me and my general well-being?

Do I have control over this matter, and can I choose to surrender rather than resist?

Often the subject of negativity becomes coupled with pain and harmful emotions. These emotions become trapped in our body, building over time (think of how long you’ve been holding on to this) and causing illness in the physical body. Our emotions are connected to our bodies.

There are numerous ways that you can choose to let go of these emotions and rewire your thought pattern to a more holistic and sustainable way of living in health and peace. I have found tremendous success for myself in releasing emotion through breathwork.

When I facilitate breathwork I witness the release of held emotions and the relief of that individual is very momentous in their life. To allow that old rusty screw to loosen the grip, to get a grasp on the head and finally turn slightly. We open up space for the new to come in, the hamster wheel stops spinning and you’re in harmony with your true self.

When we do breathwork we access a different area of the mind, reaching out past our monkey thoughts. We have an opportunity to safely (without drugs) enter a more trance-like, relaxed state of mind. Which allows for more expansive self-inquiry into our true selves.

Pay attention to the negative thought, and give it awareness. Inquire within and try a tool such a breathwork with a skilled facilitator to overcome this negativity. I promise you will open, feel lighter and your field of attraction will change for the better, you will start to flow with the trust in your inner self.
